MapTivate use a stackable "theme" paradigm, where
multiple themes can be layered one on top of the other, each theme
representing a single type of geographic data, or a collection of data
types. Vector data may be in the form of standard MID/MIF (Map
Info) and SHP (ESRI) files
or the hybrid TXF format, thus enabling the developer to use data from
multiple sources. Loaded MID/MIF and Shape files may also be easily
converted to native TXF files using the built in conversion tool.

Collections of files may be grouped together in CRA
archives allowing the user to group multiple data sets for a state, a
