Campgrounds in wrong location

Postby ericton » Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:15 am

Is anyone from undertow monitoring these pages? We are finding that some campgrounds in their program are way off where they are supposed to be. I thought the info is supposed to be the same as that in their book!

I don't think anyone from Undertow is monitoring this group, it was set up for users to exchange info, ideas, etc., but I could be wrong.

Based on the info in the program's help, Undertow is not responsible for the campground info, you'd need to report that to Trailer Life - there is even a link right in the program for doing so. I believe you are right, the campground info is supposed to contain the same information as "the book", but again, the book is published by Trailer Life, so that's where your comments should be directed.

Just my two centavos ;-)

And a very well spent "dos centavos".... and Trailer Life will probably report that to the entitie's they got their information from...

This forum might be monitored by Undertow designated moderators but I would not guarantee that Undertow Marketing or Engineering personnel would respond to Forum issues directly. That's what Undertow tech support is for. Tech support would also be the avenue to allow interaction between their products and their users.

In the forums we share ideas of our experiences good and bad. There could be forum members who might work at Undertow but if I were them I certainly wouldn't want anyone here to know that unless they want to get barraged with complaints and they might not have the authority to address or resolve them. Our shared ideas help us become better users of a product and to learn its capabilities as well as its limitations and weaknesses or problems.

I am going to guess that Undertow is a software engineering company that put together the TLDCN under Trailer Life's specifications and had to use information from Trailer Life. Then probably combined with other database information from other suppliers, Undertow completed the product with all these vendors, suppliers and Trailer Life for their customer's of TLDCN. Incorrect information or out-of-date information might not be Undertow's fault but you can start with them. I highly recommend, if you know of an absolute problem or are not sure then report it to Undertow tech support, then feel free to post a corresponding post in this forum to share this so we are aware of it or we can share back what we know about it.

Good luck with your issue, but I have a feeling someone at Undertow will report back to their suppliers wherever the blame may lie. It's like blaming Ford for the crappy Firestone's. Ford took the hit for trying to protect the business relationship they had with Firestone until Firestone finally admitted they had a problem. Unfortunately, Ford got the bad press for relaying what they were told by Firestone. When the truth finally came out Ford was forgiven a lot quicker than Firestone. This is so stupid that even today U-Haul will not rent their trailer's to Ford Explorer owners. What's up with that position? Somebody is still mad at somebody else, there.
