This is probably a bit off topic (sorry), but I love this toy for short, quick getaways. I want one, really bad :-) Isn't it awesome?

I wouldn't mind one of those :-) Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea of the cost?

Nice, Kalteron. It looks like it would be lots of fun for a weekend at the lake, or something. But, I want *this* setup, that I posted below. I'd love to be seen driving in it ;-)

The first post is a Teardrop trailer. So called for their Teardrop-like aerodynamic design. These are very basic trailers where the only covered use is the bed. The cooking is done at the rear by opening up the hatch. There is a huge following for these with camping groups being formed around the country. I am not a big fan of these, because if I'm gonna tow something I want it to be able to get inside and do pretty much everything out of the elements. These trailers are pretty much hardwalled tents with the convenience of less set up (for the kitchen). You must still search for separate toilet and showering facilities. While not required, 110v electricity is not provided, though there might be a 12v light source or plug of some kind, then you must worry about recharging.

The second post is more my style. Those types of trailers you can stand in and provide access to the needs I described above within the trailer.

In my case I have a 38' fifth wheel that weighs 7 tons and has a full kitchen and dining area with microwave, range, double sinks, large fridge and tons of cabinets. It also has four slideouts which expands the living areas significantly and provides carpet and tile floors, a fireplace, ceiling fans, king size bed, Central Furnace & Air conditioning, central vacuum system, televisions, sensurround, yada, yada, yada. But I also keep different styles of tents and tailgate camping equipment. It's good to have options.

Your setup sounds like a luxury home :-) But, like you said, it's good to have options. A teardrop would work out well for me for a quick overniter to the lake!

They are all nice, but this is what *I* would love to have! All hand-painted. How much TLC has gone into creating it and how proud the owner must be. I bet it's one-of-a-kind.

You just hope it doesn't ever need a refresher paint-job :-)

I think it's the paint holding the rust together... naw just kidding. I hope the same effort went into all the other parts of this motorhome. It would be sad if all the money and effort went into the paint and there was nothing left over for the accomodations. Gotta admit, that's an awesome paintjob. You gotta appreciate the imagination and effort just in the paint.

Art, many times people spend a lot of money on the facade and not enough on the "guts" of things. The trick is to try and hit that balance.

I also like looking at the artwork of this RV, but I am not sure I'd want to be driving it down the street ;-)

Kevin, you don't happen to live in San Francisco do you? There's an example of what you describe. I've been to several areas where old neighborhoods have had the outer facades redone in great beauty. Unfortunately many don't have air conditioning so in the early evening as you drive by to admire the beauty of their neighborhoods and they have their lights on and the curtains and windows open and the term "Filthy hoarder" comes to mind. Mind you I'm just a tourist driving by in a vehicle admiring the scenery and then you see that and you realize it's probably the landlord that made the places look great but they rent to not-so-like-minded tenants or they're slobs themselves.

I hope those RVs don't fall into that category.

Speaking of toys, this was posted on the undertow facebook page. Now here is something I wouldn't mind driving around :-)
