Mappro80 and Google

Postby George.Tan » Sat Oct 05, 2013 10:29 am

Is there a way to have mappro80 manage google map images and then allow me to overlay my own data on them? I like the capabilities of MapPro80 and don't really want to get a very expensive google license, but I like their maps, which I can get for free through http.

I think you need a license from Google to do that. It's also fairly expensive. It used to be ~$10k per year (for the lower # of transactions you could buy), but I think it may be up to ten times as much now :-(

Yeah, you are probably right and with the new pricing, google has made it harder, well expensive, for developers to add their images. Oh, well.

BTW, I love your tagline. do you mind if I borrow it to use on a couple of other boards I frequent? It would be very appropriate ;-)
